Plans & billing
Customezo's four plans, their limits and prices, how usage, trials and AI credits work, and how billing runs through your Shopify invoice.
Customezo has four plans — Free, Starter Designer, Pro Designer and Unlimited — and is billed through Shopify every 30 days. Plan changes, charges and cancellations all go through Shopify’s subscription approval, and everything appears on your Shopify invoice.
Find this under Settings → Billing & Plans, with a summary on the dashboard.

All paid plans include the full visual designer, the mobile designer, Order Summary PDFs, the design edit feature, and background removal, upscaling and vectorizing.
Included on every plan, including Free
These features are available on all plans:
- Design Gallery — your own clipart and backgrounds.
- QR codes and upload from phone.
- Add-to-cart confirmations.
- Proof approval & customer e-mails.
- The new bulk discount types and variant targeting, and the option to hide prices in the designer.
Extra AI credits
If you need more AI credits than your plan includes, you can buy extra credits. The price per credit drops as you buy more:
| Credits | Price per credit |
|---|---|
| First 499 | $0.04 |
| 500–999 | $0.024 |
| 1,000 and more | $0.02 |
Credit purchases are added to your Shopify bill as app usage charges. See AI tools.
Your current plan
The plan card shows:
- The plan name and its status: Active, Free trial, Past due, Cancelled, Expired or Frozen.
- The price and whether you are billed monthly or yearly.
- The billing period you are in, and the trial end date if you are trialling.
- Change plan, which opens the plan list.
What plans limit
Plans differ in limits. The usage card and the dashboard track them for the current period:
| Limit | Counted as |
|---|---|
| Products | Custom products set up in Customezo. |
| Designs per month | Designs created in the current period. |
| Orders per month | Design orders received in the current period. |
| Storage | Space used by uploads, previews and print files, in GB. |
| AI credits | Plan-included credits for the month, plus any purchased top-ups. |
Unlimited values are shown as Unlimited. The Plan Features list on the billing page shows exactly what your plan includes.
When you reach a limit
- The dashboard shows a usage banner as you approach a limit.
- Once a limit is exceeded, the affected action is blocked and you are directed to Upgrade required, which explains which limit you hit.
- If a grace period applies, the end date is shown; after it ends, the restriction becomes hard.
Upgrading takes effect as soon as you approve the new subscription in Shopify.
Changing plans
- Press Change plan.
- Pick a plan and approve the subscription in Shopify.
- You return to the app and the banner Plan Updated confirms it. If it says Processing, the change is still being applied — give it a moment and refresh.
Because plan changes are handled by Shopify, you approve the charge there, not in Customezo.
Trials
Every paid plan comes with a 7-day free trial, or you can start on the Free plan. The trial end date is shown on the plan card and the dashboard. When a trial ends, choose a paid plan to keep using features beyond the free limits; your products and designs are not deleted.
AI credit purchases
Credit top-ups are separate charges added to your Shopify subscription bill as app usage charges, at the prices listed above. See AI tools for buying credits, availability and the spending cap.
Usage spending cap
Shopify subscriptions have a usage spending cap. If a credit purchase would exceed it, the purchase is refused and you need to raise the cap in Shopify before retrying.
Cancelling and uninstalling
Uninstalling the app in Shopify cancels the subscription. Your store’s data is retained for a limited period so you can reinstall without starting over, and is then removed in line with our data policy and Shopify’s redaction requests — see Privacy & data.
Before uninstalling, download the print files you still need from Orders; they are the hardest thing to recover.
