Portal

The standalone Customezo dashboard — manage several stores and your team in one place, including stores that are not on Shopify.

The Portal is Customezo outside the Shopify admin. It runs the same products, designer, pricing and orders, but adds what an embedded Shopify app cannot do: one account across several stores, team management, and support for stores that are not on Shopify at all.

You do not have to use it. If you run a single Shopify store, the embedded app covers everything.

When the Portal is the right place to work

  • You run more than one store and want a single list of products and orders.
  • You sell somewhere that is not Shopify and still want the designer and print files.
  • You have a team and want people working without access to your Shopify admin.
  • You want a bigger screen for setup work such as the Print Area Designer.

Getting in

  • From the Shopify admin — press Open Portal Dashboard in the dashboard’s Quick Actions. You are signed in automatically for the store you are in.
  • Directly — sign in with your email and password. First-time users set a password from an invite or from the owner-account claim link sent when the app is installed.
  • Password reset and email verification work the usual way.

Organizations, stores and roles

The Portal is organized as organization → stores. Your organization owns the plan; each store has its own products, designer settings and orders. A store switcher moves you between them, and everything you see is scoped to the store you are in.

Team members are invited by email and given a role. Roles decide what a member can see and change — for example letting production staff work through orders without touching pricing or billing.

Non-Shopify stores

A store in the Portal does not have to be connected to Shopify. You can build a manual product catalogue, configure the designer exactly as you would for a Shopify product, and take orders through the Portal. The designer, print areas, print methods and print files all behave identically.

What you do not get for a non-Shopify store: Shopify checkout, the theme app blocks, cart transform fees and the Shopify discount function. Pricing for those stores is managed in the Portal instead.

Working on orders in the Portal

Order detail, print file downloads, lock and unlock, edit links and admin-side design editing are the same as described in Orders & print files. Orders show their source — Shopify or Portal — so you always know where they came from.

Which surface changes what

Products, print areas, templates, pricing and orders are the same data in both places. A print area you set in the Portal is live on your Shopify storefront immediately, and an order you mark completed in the app shows as completed in the Portal.

The only differences are access: Shopify-specific actions (publishing, theme status, Shopify billing) live in the embedded app, and organization-level actions (multiple stores, users, roles) live in the Portal.
